Independence Pale Ale is a medium-bodied, single hop pale ale showcasing the delicious and aromatic Citra hop. It starts with American malts and is balanced by an aroma with hints of tropical fruit and citrus.
INDIA PALE ALE
Freedom IPA is a hoppy American style IPA brewed with American pale and crystal malts. Bold hop additions give this beer a complete citrus and pine aroma, with a crisp hoppy-sweet finish.
1789 Porter is smooth, dark and very drinkable. It has subtle notes of chocolate and coffee with a malty sweetness balanced by American hops.
Refreshing and easy to drink, White Trash is brewed using pilsner malt and flaked maize, and fermented with a neutral American lager yeast.
We love hops – that’s why Double Freedom is full of them. Our double India Pale Ale is brewed with Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. It’s well-balanced with a fresh hop aroma of floral, citrus and pine.
1789 Porter with vanilla bean is smooth, dark and very drinkable. It has subtle notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee with a malty sweetness balanced by American hops.
The sweetness of this strong, malty lager comes from the use of Crystal Malts — offering a flavor often compared to raisins or prunes. Aged in an empty bourbon barrel, the doppelbock’s complex sweetness blends well with the barrel’s oak and vanilla characteristics.
Guardian is made with large amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley and flaked oats. Chocolate and roasted characteristics dominate the flavor supported by hints of coffee. Its creamy mouthfeel smooths the intensity, making it surprisingly easy to drink.
Elves’ Revenge is a winter seasonal for real beer lovers. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
CO-FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & HEAD BREWER
David Bryan is a Wichita, Kansas native. He and his wife, Lori, are the proud parents to three awesome daughters. David started home brewing back in 2006 and this hobby quickly became an obsession. After years of family vacations turning into brewery tours and day trips turning into taproom visits, David decided it was time to take this obsession to the next level.
David, along with Co-founder Tyler Meusburger, started selling the first kegs of New American Brewing Co. in Nov 2013 and have never looked back. David’s other hobbies include BBQ and cheering on the Denver Broncos!
CO-FOUNDER, OUTREACH & SPECIAL EVENTS
Tyler, an Iowa native, grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa. Schaller, Iowa to be exact. This is where some could say his love of beer started (at least for tasting!). He enjoys all styles of beer, but most of all a citrusy pale ale in the summer. Tyler moved to Des Moines in 2011 while pursuing his career in sales management and learned to love what the metro had to offer — including his wife, Shelley, and their crazy cat, Bella.
When Tyler and David met, they were colleagues with a passion for a beer. This got the wheels turning, and plans to open a brewery were put into place. In 2013, David and Tyler opened New American Brewing Company. Outside of the brewery, Tyler likes to spend time with family and friends outdoors, especially near water and a cold beverage.
James is originally from Philadelphia but has lived in Iowa for most of his adult life. He started home brewing in 2009 and has been brewing professionally since 2014. After studying cultural anthropology at Iowa State, he transitioned to the brewing science course at Siebel Institute in Chicago. When he isn’t brewing, James enjoys rock climbing and fly fishing. He also runs a small leather company called “Piton Leather”
